BREAKING CHAINS: A Study of "Emotional Abuse" -Responding to a culture of Emotional Accusations.
By Rev. Daniel Schreck, PhD, LCAC
This semester, we are excited to offer the BREAKING CHAINS group a course designed as a guide, a source of encouragement, and a beacon of light in the path toward healing. Over the last two decades, the term emotionalabuse has become a frequent topic of conversation, used in homes, classrooms, churches, and therapy rooms alike. In many cases, this language has empowered victims to name and confront deeply painful realities. Yet in other instances, the term has been diluted, misapplied, or weaponized, often clouding our understanding rather than clarifying it.
What to Expect
This course will cover crucial topics, including:
Defining the Issue – What Is Emotional Abuse?
Created in God’s Image (Recognizing His Voice – Lies vs. Truth)
Recognizing the Tactics (ThePower of Words – Life or Death)
Reclaiming and Restoring Identity
Rebuilding Truth – Breakingthe Cycle of Lies
Boundaries and Wisdom –God’s Design for Relationships
Forgiveness – Releasing theOffense
Spiritual Warfare – Battlingin the Spirit
Walking in the Spirit –Living Beyond SurvivalMaking Amends – RestoringWhat Was Broken
Moving Forward – Living inWholeness
WalkingForward – Living in Healing and Beyond the Hurt
Who Should Join?
Anyone who has used the term "emotional abuse" or been called an "emotional abuser, i.e. anyone who is desiring to understand emotional abuse is a misused term for how they "feel" treated by family, friends,co-worker and other. Anyone who has been hurt, manipulated, even used by other. It can give an effective understanding of being manipulated and misused.

Anger: Our Master or Our Servant
By Larry Heath
ManyChristians struggle with knowing how to respond to anger, but the Bible offers clear guidance on managing it. Anger can serve either righteous or harmful purposes, making it crucial to address it appropriately. Much like a warning light on a car dashboard signaling a deeper issue, anger often points to
underlying concerns that need attention. This class provides a healthy, biblical approach to processing anger and its related challenges, fostering healing and transformation through the power of Scripture and the Holy Spirit.Who Should Join?
